Actor, director, stuff-maker.
Magnum Phoenix is a weird, British, mixed race, gay interdisciplinary performance artist who likes
reading Private Eye and singing badly in the shower.
After discovering a love of telling stories and being an all-round entertainer, Magnum realised that he could do and say whatever he wanted, with no obligation to listen to anyone else's bullshit ever again - and decided to take this attitude to a wider platform.
Combining video, song and dance influenced by current and past events, performers, art, texts, music, ideas, dreams and... pretty much everything else, Magnum's work is described as eccentric, unique, loud, political, shocking, darkly humorous, unquestionably silly, but undeniably honest.
Magnum is currently a PhD student at The University of Warwick, researching the reality of androids as actors.
